Hello lovelies! Happy Monday! I had such an amazing weekend attending my first British wedding as an actual invited guest! The Royal Wedding doesn’t count (or so my husband says). It was one of the most beautiful and love-filled occasions with some of the most heartfelt and genuine speeches given by the bride’s father, her godfather, the best man and the groom. Living overseas away from family means that the friends you make become your support network and act as your surrogate family. We are so lucky to have been welcomed in so warmly by not only these two special friends, but their families as well. The groom’s father remarked to my husband at the reception, “You’re one of the family now!” which he may live to regret some day, as I then shuffled up with a glow stick down my dress illuminating my chest and holding out my finger saying, “Elliot, Elliot….. ouch”, but we could not be more honoured. Cheers to the happy couple!
