Beyond Retro is a fabulous London based vintage store with two locations. One is nestled in the heart of Soho and the other is just a hop skip and a jump off of Brick Lane in East London. The latter is the larger of the two and the one I tend to frequent as the racks are packed with amazing finds. They carry men’s and women’s clothes, shoes & accessories, and everything is in mint condition. Definitely worth stopping by or even shopping online as their product assortment is fantastic.

Bagels are one of the things I dearly miss about NYC. On my quest to find a replica in London I came across Brick Lane Bakery. While almost nothing will compare to an NYC bagel this can temporarily curb the longing. This little shop runs a tight business. Bagels are mostly pre made (so toasting is not an option) to keep people moving quickly and customers happy. There is no seating so all food is taken to the streets to go. My favourites are the bagel with salmon and cream cheese, and the salted beef bagel (which is the American version of corned beef) with a spicy English Mustard. Since it is open 24 hours it can be your round the clock dining option to throw into the rotation!
